98 blazer crankshaft removal

already have engine out and on stand. Spun a bearing; Am replacing old crankshaft/bearings with new crankshaft kit.

Question do I have to do anything other than just remove and replace?

does clearance betwee new bearing, journal and old piston rod make a difference with new crankshaft?

Re: 98 blazer crankshaft removal

You'd better use a plastigauge kit. They're cheap insurance

Napa should have them for very little coin.

Feeler gauge kit and a good torque wrench... Replace both front and rear bearing seals while you're at it...
