I got my soundsystem

Well I got my soundsystem put in! Finally! Total bill: $2000

I got my eXcelon amp on clearance because it is last year's model, but the subs are new this year. Everything was done with monster cable, and a monster cap keeps the power in line. I will be dynamatting the trunk, doors, and possibly floor over the summer. God it sounds amazing. Check my signature for the setup.

Sounds sweet. Are your speakers amped up or just the subs?

No right now I only have the subs amped, but once I get the cash I'll drop a 4-channel on the speakers. They are already pretty loud, but the only problem with running them off the deck is the distortion.

Yeah, distortion can be a problem. For now I am going to buy a box and possibly get a 12 put in sometime next week (already have amp, got as payment for pulling stump out friends front yard with parents 4wd ford bronco) I will see how my system sounds then and once more money comes my way I will possibly add a 4ch. But clutch and a/c frion recharge take priority over the 4ch.

My Current Audio Setup
Aiwa X-217 45X4 Cd Reciever
Pioneer 6 1/2" 130W Speakers (front doors)
Alpine 6 1/2" 140W Speakers (rear deck)

Got mine!

Its a kicker comp 12". I got the box also. Went to the local flea market. It was $60 for the sub and $40 for the amp. Now all I gotta do is wire that shit up and my car is gonna have beat.

Its a denon, and as far as wattage I have no idea, got it as payment for pulling a stump out of a friends yard. The sub sounded like shit for a while until I built this custom box to kickers specifications and now my system sounds tight.

If you guys are interested, I have a brand new a/d/s P850.2 amp. 8 channel by 50 watts each channel, bridgeable with crossovers. Sealed in its original plastic wrap and box includes all hardware and manual. check out this link for more detailed info on the amp www.adst.com or http://www.adst.com/pages/p850.html
It cost over $1000 and I've seen one on ebay for $900, I'm willing to let it go for $500 (half the price). This is the only amp you'll ever buy, enough to power all satellites and subs.:flash:

i plan on adding 2 6x9 into the top deck with another amp. There is a neon lighting up the amp underneath the floor. We are going to tunnel that center wall and put a NOS bottle back there for shows.
