Squishy hose?

Hey guys, i have the little minor overheating problem still, about the only thing bothering me on my car now, other that that its great. I was checking the hoses today and they all felt pretty firm and good, but i think it was the lower rad hose, it felt pretty squishy, the others u cud feel a spring and it was firm, this one i cud squish without a great amount of effort. Is this normal for the lower rad hose? What cud be the problem? I bled the air out of the cooling system, cud the hose just be bad? Thnx

Re: Squishy hose?

A squishy hose won't cause overheating, but it probably should be replaced if it doesn't feel firm.

no but it's an obvious sign there's no coolant pressure in the hose. I'd say flush your radiator..

how many miles? Stock waterpump?

Re: Squishy hose?

no real way to 'test' a waterpump, they can go a pressure test but it could still be wrong.

best bet is to take a day off, remove it and inspect it.
