No Spark
I have a 94 S-10 Blazer 4X4 with the 4.3L vortec. Recently the blazer just died. I checked for spark after the distributor, (ie. plug wires), and there was none. When i checked for spark between the coil and distributor the wire coming out of the coil had plenty of spark. The inside of the distributor the tabs have a lot of corrosion on them, so I willl be replacing them tommorrow. Also the rotor will not come off by pulling up on it, is there a set screw on it somewhere that needs to be loosened? I need to know if the cap and rotor will solve this problem. It seems like it should since the ignition module tells the coil when to spark. So the only reason i can see for the spark not getting from the coil to the plugs would be the cap/rotor, but if i am wrong someone please correct me. Thanks in advance.

Re: No Spark
Welcome to Automotive Forum
![]() The general tuneup guide line is located here http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=453370 I see that BlazerLT didn't specify plug wires, but I would unless they are pretty new. Wires from the dealer are just about the best for your ride. Then your Blazer really should run and get decent mileage as well. If you've got pic's of your Comaro and don't mind I'd like to see them. Or a web site is better. Thanks, and good luck |

Sometimes the rotor is tough to get off, use a large flat head screwdriver and pry up from different points at the bottom of the rotor and it should eventually come off..
