i need a wiring diagram for a 87 firebird
i just bought another firebird. but the owner before me butchered the wiring when they changed the motor. now my alternator wont charge. i have had the alternator tested it is good. but i cant figure out why the alternator isnt charging. can anyone help me out? a wiring diagram would be great.

hmm.. i would like to help..but i dont know where to start.
after your alternator, it should go to the voltage regulator..which should go to the battery..if im not mistaken... but just to be sure, if i were you, id just buy a manual. those things werk wonders :] most come with a COMPLETE wiring diagram for whatever years they cover... so yeah..good luck dude..i was searching online for some free ones, but it gives me some honda wiring diagram for subs..or something -_-

Do your gauges work? The voltage gauge is in the regulater's feedback loop and controls alternator output.

yes my guage for my amps works but none of my other guages work and one other thing i noticed is when i hit my brakes my parking lights come on
