90 lumina van won't start
Well first off this thing has been a hard starter for quite a while, tough sometimes when cold. But anyway it "would" start. Yesterday it quit on me. I drained the battery that morning. Put a fresh charge on it that day. Its back up and fine. Gas gauge doesn't work so first thing I done was drop a few gallons of gas into the tank.(didn't want to be the guy that couldn't start the car without gas ya know). But it still wouldn't start for me.
I pulled the fuel line and made sure fuel was getting through the fuel filter. Seems to be fine, sprayed a good burst when the ignition was switched. Also watched the injector spray the initial burst of fuel when the ignition is turned on. So that ruled out the fuel issue. I pulled a spark plug wire and put a temporary plug into the wire and had a friend try the ignition and I got a spark from it. Yet still not starting. Any clue where I need to go from here? Anybody? |

Re: 90 lumina van won't start
ok, no help needed now. I decided to change out the ignition coil because the spark seemed a little weak. In the process I found a couple bad wires and starts better than ever now.

Re: 90 lumina van won't start
Glad you fixed it, I was going to suggest a tune up (cap, rotor, plugs, wires).
