96 LSi has a haze over the headlights...no amount of rubbing or washing will make it better. Anyone have any thoughts on how to make this clear again? Oddly, they look crystal clear when wet!
Any help is appreciated! |

Re: how to clean crud off of composite beams?
Several of the car wax/ polishing companies sell a compound to buff plastic lights out. Mothers has a nifty new polishing ball you attach to a drill and use to polish rims and plastic etc, supposed to be really nifty but I haven't tried it myself. Just read the labels on some of the diffrent compounds and you should find some that are safe to use on plastic and there should be a couple exclusively for plastic.
Good luck!! |

Picked up some stuff at the local Autozone, it was $11 or so, six polishing discs and an adaptor for my drill. Polishing agent was imbedded in the discs, just mist with water, how convenient! Half an hour later the lights are very much improved! On a scale of 1-10, I'd say the brightness was at 3 before, now its about an 8. There is still just a touch of haze on the bottom half of the lenses that just won't come off but still very much improved.
I'd attach a pic but it says I'm not allowed, oh well [quote=Metro Mighty Mouse]Several of the car wax/ polishing companies sell a compound to buff plastic lights out.
