Automatic door locks

I have a 2000 Impala LS with an automatic door lock problem. Regardless of what I choose in the radio Settings Menu, the automatic door locks always engage when I shift in to drive, and then disengage when I shift in to park. I'd like to shut off this feature altogether but it almost seems like the radio doesn't rememeber the selected *OFF setting - even after the program beep. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Re: Automatic door locks

hmmm, odd. that really is all you need to do.menu, over to auto lock or whatever it is, select what you want, hit dsip again to select it, then back to the menu and go to exit, and hit disp.

but it sounds like thats what you did, and thats all that it should take. hmmmm, confusing.

After checking some of the other settings besides the Automatic Door Locks, it appears that none of my programmed settings are "remembered" after I turn off the key. It's almost as if there is a complete memory loss when the key is off. Is there a battery or fused 12 volt line that provides constant power for memory purposes to the BCM?
