As far as I can tell no one has answered this question yet. What are the steps necessary to remove the headlight assembly on a 93 GC?
As is common on most cars with plastic headlight covers, 100,000+ miles has all but made the plastic yellow and and so scratched up that barley any light shines through them. Very dangerous at night. New bulbs do no good. What needs to be removed and in what order, to put in the replacement assembly/covers?

Agreed, I had both of mine done when my ZJ went in to the body shop after a trucks bumper put a scraping crease down the entire front passenger fender while parked one day.
You might want to consider the glass lens ones avail from these people. http://www.rigidsteel.com

I took a pass on doing them or I would tell you. I let the body shop handle it because that truck bumper took out mounting brackets as well as the lights.

Quote:
If I remember correctly, you need to remove the entire rubber front bumper assy for access.

oh yeah, if you do it, don't let the styrofoam front bumper scare you. It's just to help the rubber bumper hold it's shape....

Re: Re: 93 GC Headlight Assembly removal
Thank you very much! I have the Chilton manual, I will see if the front bumper romoval intructions are in there. I can already see that you are probably right.
