Cargo Lamp switch wiring

Hi,

I would like to power a light in the truck bed (on the truck cap's ceiling) and power a pin on my trailer connector by the cargo lamp switch.

Has anyone done this, and what is the best way to route the wire back to the rear of the truck?

Thanks

Tom Larson

I have on a 2004. I used split wire loom to protect the wire and ran the wire through the parking brake cable gromlet. I ran the loom alongside the vehicle wire loom on the chassis to the bed. I used some push in factory wire loom holders where possible and heavy duty wire ties at other points.
I've had no problems after 2 years.
