whobbling and alignment??

I have a 2001 Ford Taurus and I have a some whobbling going on in my car. I especially notice it on smooth surfaces and when going slow I have feel myself gently bobbing up and down in my seat that is in sync with the whobbling sound. Is this due to alignment or something else?

Also, does anyone have any info on check engine light code PO 460 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit A Malfunction? I am wanting to fix this on my own, but I am not sure if this is even a possibility. Any thoughts?

Re: whobbling and alignment??

You might want to check your lugnuts, if they are loose on on or more wheel they will feel like that. It could also be an out of round tire, probably not an alignment problem though

Re: whobbling and alignment??

I had that on a few cars and it always turned out to be a bad tire.

I agree, if you raise the tire off the ground and look closely while you slowly turn it you will likely find a bulge on the tread surface. Most likely, but not for certain, a front tire.

Knowing how many miles are on the car would help in this scenario

Take your car to a qualified shop

Could be tie rods or ball joints sounds like a bad tire though

The OEm continentals are not very good

as far as the code
disconnect your battery and make sure your gas cap is tight
