I have this wierd thing that I kinda like to get beat by certain cars. Its not quite sadomasachistic, but just kinda kinky. I'm like "ohh, beat me, yes, beat me hard..." Alright I'm gonna stop now.

Anyways, last night, I was bored, pissed off at Most Wanted, and longing for Starbucks, so I head out to a near by B&N/Starbucks, to get some coffee and continue to justify my lack of subscriptions for any magazines, cuz I can read them all their. In the parking lot was a nice Audi S4, in yellow. But that has nothing to do with my story, just wanted to say.

I finish my mochacafachinolattechaidoublehalfcafshotesspressow hatthefuckeveritwas, and head back out, deciding to take the scenic route home. On the highway, I pul up behind a nice red E46 330ci. But something was different with this one. It's exhaust tips were slightly larger, and in place of where the dealer badge shoudla been (I took mine off, but most people around here dont...) there was a nice, shiny, chrome Dinan badge. Now, Dinan just doesn't hand those out, and I don't know if you can get them on Ebay or not, but regardless, I decided to see if he wants to play.

I pull up next to him, and kinda juice it, put about half a car length on him, just to let him know I'm game. He bites. He bites hard, it was kinda sexy Im not gonna lie, and just flys off. I have the pedal matted, but I'm not pulling, or catching up, at all. We were around 130ish when he shut down about five+ lengths up, hit his flashers twice, and I tapped the high beams. I pulled up on him, and gave him the thumbs up, and he had the usual "I just went really fast" shit eating grin. That was the second Dinan I saw yesterday, I also chatted it up with a guy in a Dinan 525i, and he said that there is a pretty big non-CCA BMW club around here, and he would email me with some info on it.

Anyways, I digress. After my slaughter by the 330, we cruised next to each other for a few, kinda moving in and outa light traffic, and caught the eye of something else, a different beast all together. We had just pulled out of some traffic, and hes giving it light gas because I'm at abot 75% throttle and able to keep about a half car length on him, when this yellow blur of d00m flys by. Like, making us look like we were standing still fly by. This yellow blur slowed, and thus we were notified that it was a Porsche. Not just any Porsche, mind you. No, this was no Boxer, no Cayman, or even Carrera. It was a 911 (well, so yeah, I guess it was in theory a Carrera)...but further than that, it was a 911 GT3. Yeah, GT3.

The guy looked over and smile at us, and then gave us the thumbs up, and took off again. We had no hope in all hell to catch up. After that, I decided I had wasted enough gas, waved back to the 330ci, pointed towards the Porsche, as if to say go get him, and then took the next exit. I hit a light, and tired to pick a fight with an ugly ass orange IS3000 (stock with an "A Spec" plate), but he was no game. I consider it an awesome night, though, a good little escape before I head to Florida, the land of left lane vigalantes and old, slow driving retired folks...at least I can rip it up in my Grandpas white Crown Vic and scare the shit outa people who are going fast...

dinan parts are so over priced. one of my friends got a 540 and a super charger for his car is 16K. and the intake manifold is $1500. its ridiculous what you guys have to pay to get more power out of your cars.

did you ask the guy what he did to his 330? cause him beating you by 5 cars means hes got quit a bit more power then you.

Nah, I didn't, but it sounded hella mean, probably more than just the Dinan packages, maybe a bit of the laughing gas or FI...And yeah, Dinan parts are overpriced, thats why I dont have any, lol.

That GT3 must of been awesome, never seen one around here, but I've seen what a regular carrera can do to my car, and I can only imagine what that thing would do

yes indeed i love those... but i just get a strawberries and cream sometimes and some peaches and cream when i get home....

thats impressive though, i don't kno if i'd kno a dinan 3 series or 5 series from the rest of them... but good job on the loss... 130? jeez....

all i kno there is a badass e45 m3 in town (pre e46 i think...) and i'm wanting to show him some things....

i know what cassies is talkin about... its kinda fun to get blown outta the water by somethin like that. and dinan is expensive as all hell. a buddy of mine has a 2001 540i all dinan... runs like low 13's. he took me for a ride a while back and holy freakin god that thing can move for how big it is. sounds sexy too. in any case i spend my life at starbucks and your whatever it was cassies sounds good. just gotta add a little caramel. i just wanna know why i cant order coffee from a coffee shop, its always like army code words and crap. in anycase, good runs. i've got in a few tussels in the past week... nothin worth postin though. ernie when are we gonna go cruisin? we gotta take a cruise somewhere man. meet up with some other members from around CA. and cassies totally didn't mean to jack your thread so PM me ernie

Its E36, and I've seen two of 'em. I ran one from about 30 on the loop, and he blew me outa the water. Ones blue and the other is black. And a Dinan BMW just has a nifty little Dinan badge on the back.
