Multiple Problems Chevy Venture 2001

Ok, My left blinker is speedy when I press my break, both indicators light up when I press my break, my service traction system lights up when its cold and the engine isn't warmed up and my lights flicker some, my horn beeps every now and then on its own and my power seat won't work intermittently. The service guy...who is the king of lip service...only says they are related. I don't think they have even looked at the car. Has anyone else had all these problems at the same time?

My horn does the same thing, Just beeps on its own. Had the same problem with the power seat. Had to wiggle the connector to make it work..

The turn signals could be related to the tail light circuit board. Sounds like it is picking up another bulb which increases the load on the turn signal flasher causing the higher flash rate. Perhaps someone who knows for sure will reply.

Re: Multiple Problems Chevy Venture 2001

Hi again,

I got answers. My husband had to take over dealing with the (lip) service manager. The horn blowing on its own has to do with the airbag rubbing against the sensor....something like that. The other things....the blinker, the indicators, and the trac system have to do with a master switch. The squeaking in the wheel is from the cyclinder leaking...we did see any leak..it must have been slow but they fixed it and the squeak is gone. AND it was all covered under my extended warrenty.

Re: Multiple Problems Chevy Venture 2001

I have had the same problem with the my left turn signal blinking fast with the brake on, and the trac control off light on. The problem is in the connector to the left rear light assy. The ground pin will be burnt. Remove the left rear tail light, unplug the connector and inspect your pins. I had to replace mine, found a cheap one in a junk yard. Dealer wants an arm and a leg for the part. NO PROBLEM SINCE I REPLACED CONNECTOR. Today the horn started to go off intermitently.

Re: Multiple Problems Chevy Venture 2001

In my case, I found that edjet's response helped me quite a bit. But as it turned out, I didn't have to replace the connector (at least at this time, but will probably have to at some point). The connector was burnt, but I just cleaned it up so it would have a cleaner connection. To clean it, I just used a piece of thin wire that I just scraped the inside of the connector with. Problem solved (for now).
