88' 4runner problem

Here are the symptoms, I turn the key to on and the rear window will not roll down, the rear wiper will also not work. When I try to start it nothing, no click from the solenoid or anything. I rebuilt the solenoid and replaced the battery ground cable with no luck. I have turned the key to start and the headlights do not dim or go out. I have turned the key to start with the clutch cancel switch on, nothing. Any ideas?

Famous starter contacts?! You might have two issues here. The no start one and then the rear window issue. Check fuses for the rear window/wiper. Is the wiper arm against the glass/body? Just some ideas.

I have made sure the rear wiper is in the correct place, checked all the fuses and cleaned and reattached the starter contacts. Still nothing, I am stumped.

tailgate harness, 15 cables altogether, bet u few of them are shot 4runner harness is a joke(no offense to anybody) hope it helps, Northern Sun
