WIP: 03 RC211V - Movistar

Hi guys, long time reader first time poster... I have been looking at the quality of everyones work and was/am scared to post my stuff cos its so inferior to everyone elses.. but enough of that - things can only improve.
this is my first tamiya bike - and probably 3rd model.. first attempt at carbon decal, and first attempt at making exhaust look like exhaust - not silver spaghetti. also have tried to add some shading and things to engine (thinned down flat black - to be like brake dust).

anyway feed back is appreciated.

more pics to come.. ( if i can work out how to post them.. :-( )

thanks

Rob Storey

Hi Rob, me thinks you underestimate yourself, :-) Very good work, not an easy subject so hats off.

This is the bets place to get hints and tips as well, so look at every build there is.

Rod.

Very nice Rob. Will be looking forward to more. I have a few bikes to build and as I am not a bike person I am wanting to learn more.

Re: WIP: 03 RC211V - Movistar

Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone.

Did a big effort last night, painted all bodywork, and decalled and am about to spray some clear on it all.

I am dissappointed in the blue colour i was of the belief that it was supposed to be a lighter sort of colour but tamiya said to use ts51 - racing blue or telefonica blue. Oh well, still an awsome scheme.

Unfortuneately the digi camera has gone on holidays - will post more pics when i can get my hands on it

regards

Re: WIP: 03 RC211V - Movistar

Hi folks, well 95% completed now, needs the seat foam, rear brake lever, ger shifter, and front cowling supports and then its finished.

the decalling job is worse than i first thought! one side is quite average, but not to worry live and learn! It is only my first bike, so i think the end result is quite nice.

any feed back is welcome, will take some natural light shots tomorrow if wind allows :-)

also please see my new thread, WIP Yet another 46 Yamaha M1 i think there are obvious improvements obvious already - but maybe im biassed .. lol
