I'm beggining to build a stock 327 for my el camino Im starting with the exhaust and Im looking for suggestions on what header I should go with, I want something with a nice thick flange but that is still reasonably priced, wish I could afford doug thorley's but I cant Im only 18, right now im leaning toward headman thanks in advance.

I got Hooker full length headers on my Nova and they are pretty good. They were on the car when I got it in 97 and were far from new then, and they seem to be holding up well. Also, if you need to buy mufflers I would recommend Flowmasters. They were on it as well and they sound awesome and last forever. I read that they don't have any fiberglass packing inside that absorbs moisture and breaks down over time. Mine are still in great shape. I also got 3" pipes with NO tailpipes, just turndowns in front of the rear axle and it sounds brutal. Some people have even thought it's got a big block in it.
