'96 Grand AM GT keyless programing
I have a '96 grand am gt sedan, i just got replacement key fobs (square trw) and need to program them. the car has gm-obdII and factory keyless (the old fob got eaten by the dog) so i would assume to use the same method ive seen for similar cars of the same vintage, bridging the 2 pins on the dlc. the problem is i havent seen info on this exact car and most ppl seem to dance around it. thanks

Re: '96 Grand AM GT keyless programing
The 95-96 cavalier uses these instructions - the only difference might be if you have the connecter under the dash instead of in the trunk:
1. Turn the ingition switch to off 2. Jumper program connector terminal A to terminal B "door locks will lock and unlock in approximately two seconds" 3. Press lock and unlock button on one transmitter. Door locks will lock and unlock in approximately ten seconds. The RFA Module is now programmed for the first transmitter. 4. Repeat step 3 using other transmitter if you more than one transmitter. 5. Disconnect jumper from program connector. BTW The door lock receiver module is in the trunk on the drivers side. The pins are labled from A thru J 16 total. Make sure you just ground A and B together.

Re: '96 Grand AM GT keyless programing
the module has 2 connectors one black one blue. jumping a and b makes the trunk pop solinoid open and close.
