Re: ahh i only have 1400 rpms help

maf should read between 0-5 volts..

http://www.gowhatnot.com/nissan/pdf/efec.pdf

for ecu diagnostic... or search the z31 section of zcar.com or z31.com for "ecu diagnostic"

search button is your friend

Re: ahh i only have 1400 rpms help

well i did the ecu diagnosis andit came back with air flow meter( i guess it is either in wiring or sensor sensor is doubtful replaced with known good), cylinderhead temp (better get that fixed also), fuel temp (oh you caught on that its not really 220 degrees), air conditioner (well i guess it makes sense since there isnt one) ignition signal(sorta baffling?), vehicle speed sensor, (well it also removed the speed limiter to remove the speedo sensor wire) and idle switch (there is no idle switch on it so i guess that makes sence) allthough im more lost about the other sensors (ok just the ignition signal, and head temp
and i guess ill put my new lead on the air flow meter and hope '

Re: ahh i only have 1400 rpms help

I may not be to big a help but the ecu is probally retarding you engine to stop it from damaging itself thats what the ecu thinks but it could be a broken sensor

Re: ahh i only have 1400 rpms help

well rehooked a few sensors and mind you ive been driving this for about 8000 miles on different head and block combos with no prob..
also i can check the ecu and it still comes up with the maf and the eng cyl. head temp and ign signal and also the ac but i dont havbe a head temp sens my old one is broke and other onew must be no good (on now) as for ac i donrt have it also i can change timing with no avail and very little diff. is noticed on the maf when i unplug (althopugh it does a small burp ) and also i can only use 1\4 throttle after i touch the idle swithc (tps)
????
going to let it run for minute and then go to a rural road and drive a mionute gety up to what ever speed i can in 5htn and trey and put it in a lower gear in highe rs and floor it .......... try mybe just my bwe

we already know it is not gonnas work.....

Re: ahh i only have 1400 rpms help

try replacing the ecu.. might have cooked it when you shorted the wires against the manifold...
