85 Fiero 2.5L

Here is the deal, I am at a loss, Car ran fine, Idle was a little high but no problem really. car started at work drove it home, took to cutting out at every stop light or anytime it I took my foot off the gas.

So thought it might be fuel pump, Not the problem, pumps plenty of fuel.

Changed fuel filter.

seemed to be dumping too much fuel into the unit so rebuilt and cleaned the throttle body housing. It was a new Idle air control motor, did standard tune up stuff cuz it needed it anyway.

Checked the module and changed the pickup.

Now the car starts up easily but dies immediately when everything is hooked up.

If I disconnect the little vacuum line that runs to the MAP sensor, it will run for about 15 seconds at a steady acceleration until it hits 4K and then shuts down.

Is it the engine computer.

If so, where is it located

The computer is behind you right shoulder, underneath the "glove" box in the center console. You'll need to remove the center console to get to it.

Have you looked at the EGR Tube??? My Factory EGR tube let go and the car acted somewhat the same. Good Luck.

there is an access door for the computer on the passenger side of the console with a few screws that will give you access to the plugs for the computer.
