Well, I was kinda looking for a more stock civic because I only want to spend no more than $6000. And I know for a fact that you won't sell me that car for $6000.

Damn, I was hopping to get some cash for this one and get a 99 Si with the money I've been saving... Maybe I should stop saving and just dum that money into this car....?

If it was me, I would put that money into that car you have right now. Why get the SI, when you can make it an SI just by modifing the EX?

2) Separate chassis code than all other coupes to incorporate thicker bars, better suspension, and the B16 motor 3) Si only stuff like the seats, rims, lip, shifter, etc 4) To modify an EX to be an Si, you'd be spending alot more than just selling the EX and buying an Si. |

Well, I sorta meant just making it go as fast as an SI. But, it's your choice.

go out and buy the SI...in order to modify it to be an SI, ull need a lot of money, first off..the headlights, fenders, bumpers are diff. Then youll need new suspension, the SI suspension is diff. from the EX. Also. ull need to drop in a B16A engine and put some SI rims on. That will cost u alot. Might as well save up for that SI

Si's on the used market are around 13,000 |

Kelley Blue book has a 1999 with 30,000 miles at 15,300 and a 2000 with 30,000 miles at 16,180, which is a little more than just "around 13,000". I tend to think that 2,000 or 3,000 dollars is a large price diff. The price was calculated considering that the cars are "excellent condition." However, since Si's are so rare, I would bet money on the fact that they'll be more expensive than blue book. I just did a search in my area on www.autotrader.com, and they have an Si listed here at 20,000 (from a dealer, almost stock). Says here that the average of the prices for all the civics listed is over 15,000. I found a 2000 here with 20,000 mi for 18100...and this is from a private seller So in conclusion, a) the term "around 13,000" is used very loosely b) it is not wise to make such statements without proper research

Yeah I actually read that the price of the 99-00 civic si is going to stay steady thanks to the new civic si hatchback. A lot of people are giving that car bad reviews because the hp number is the same 160 but more torque. Plus it kinda looks like a focus reject.
