Whats a better auto repair manual.....

I seen 2 repair manuals for the neon, the Chilton's, & the Hayne's, well just wondering wich would be better to purchase, although the Chilton's is like $5 bucks cheaper, but, is it worth it. In advance Thanks.

My perosnal opinion on manuals go like this 1)FSM 2)Chilton's 3)Hayne's. The Chilton's and Hayne's manuals both have some incorrect statements. The gap for spark plugs is incorrect in one of them for example. They all will help you understand more of your car. Buy one and start reading. The neon is an extremely easy car to work on.

Try the dealership. It's gonna be high, though.. Or you could get a 1 year Mitchell subscription for $5000...

Re: Whats a better auto repair manual.....

hit up your local dealership, it will probably be like $120 or so, but it will have EVERYTHING! i buy them for every car i own. priceless information, and i work at a performance shop, so i know what im doing when turning a wrench, its still worth having.

oh...and i find it better than mitchell. we use it at my shop, but we still use the shop manuals whenever possiable. infact, my srt manual is sitting on my mechanics tool bench as we speak. we have a sartie totally torn apart doing nearly $6,000 worth of mods to that puppy! the manual is great when doing electrical work, takes hours out of the job

I compared Haynes and Chilton manuals for Subaru and can tell you that Chilton is a junk. Since then I always buy Haynes.

Normally, how much would ya'll charge to replace a clutch. Thats mainly why I would want the repair manual, & for future problems.

Is the Dodge, & Plymouth repair manual the same, or similar to the Dodge repair manual.
