I am considering have the engine replaced on a 1992 CV, 4.6L with a remanufactured one. The remanufactured brand name is Hessco. Has anyone heard of them ? If not any suggestion on a good brand name and what I should be lokking for

Jasper? I've installed more than my fair share, and replaced same. I PERSONALLY would never buy one, or anything with one in it.

You're kidding, right? I've used 4 of their 4.6 V-8's in Crown Vics & have had zero issue. Have 300,000 plus miles on one currently in unit 186 and still runs great. I cannot speak to the quality of any other engine they reman, but the 4.6's have been A-OK for me. Only reason I don't use them anymore is because I have managed to acquire an abundant supply of used motors in crashed cabs.
