EGR Trouble code, 95 Dakota V8

I have a trouble code for the EGR system on my truck. It runs a bit rough at low RPM and fine above 2000 RPM. I'm not in any hurry to replace it (about a $90 part and it's Christmas). This going to cause any additional trouble with driveability? I suspect It's stuck partially open and, best I can tell, requires replacement and is not repairable.
