1988 s10 cranking problem

the truck has a 2.5L engine, when first starting in the mornings or after sets for a while the truck is hard to start. take 3 to 4 attemps to crank.

also can someone tell me the proper way to set timming, and were is the iac (idle air control) modual located

how long has it been since you replaced your fuel filter/ plug/wires/dist cap/rotor?
