91 mr2 head gasket
theres a mr2 for sale online with a blow head gasket like the title says a 91 mr2 turbo and i was just wondering how much it would cost to take it somewere to get it replaced. or if you know how hard it is to replace it on the turbo engine yourself. also does anyone know of any place to get performance head gaskets? and which kind would be best...the car would be meant for all around fun but mostly daily driver i would slowly tune. i mean if im going to buy it and do the head gasket might as well make it better!

Re: 91 mr2 head gasket
A headgasket job will cost a couple of hundred bucks depending on labor rate.
If you are not planning on "monster" power (over 300 rwhp), save your money and get a Toyota gasket.

Re: 91 mr2 head gasket
i've just gone with a toyota gasket from a later model MR2.
later gens came with metal gaskets and are sold as TRD for the earlier models. i PROBABLY should have gone for an HKS unit given the rest of the work done. but i'm planning on building another head before going too high on power so i'll put a better one in then... i WISH it just cost a couple of hundred lol....
