Door adjustment

The driver side door on my 96 k1500 is sagging and needs adjustment. It will not completely close, it will partially close but remains ajar. I've adjusted the post, or whatever its called, and it slightly improved but has since gotten worse. Is there any adjustment to the hinges?

Re: Door adjustment

Sounds like you need new hinge pins and bushings. If you don't have a spring compressor go to a body shop and let them change them for you.

Spring compressor

I found that by compressing the door spring in a vise and looping several strands of light wire through it, I could put the spring in place with no trouble. Then just snip the wires.
