b16b

i was just wondering

im not planning to do the swap, but i was researching some honda engines and found the b16b

has anyone ever seen one turboed or know how reliable they would be to turbo

ive searched the forum and kind find anything about turbo

just asking for knowledge, so please dont bash

Most people don't bother turboing them because its not the best platform to start.

Only turbod ones i've seen are on show cars.

Compression is way to high to run any real boost.

what if someone got one and lowered the compression, would it be a good engine for turbo, or would that pretty much take away what makes it different from the b16a?

like i said i dont really know anything about them.... lol

Swaping out the pistons then your doing away with a big part of the motor.

You'd also be spending a TON for that setup and you could net alot more power for cheaper.

Another thing the b16b has is the best stock honda cams and a mild P&P job on the head. A b16b is pretty much a destroked ITR motor.

Neither are really worth boosting.
