Sup, my head liner is in rough shape so i was thinking about pulling it out and redoing it. How is this done (the pulling it out part i mean) and will it be a pain in the ass to do?

Yes it will bea big pain in the ass.
I just finished doing my interior all white. To remove the headliner you will need to remove the front pillar panels and the rear pillar panels. AND GUESS WHAT. to remove the rear pillar panels you need to remove the rear side pannels. And yes these are a B1tch to remove. to remove the rear side pannels you will need to take out the rear seats. Still following me?? To remove the rear seats.... there is a little clip like thing on each OUTSIDE edge of the seat, pull that off and you should figure out how to get them out from there. For the bottom part of the seat there is a 10mm bolt in the midle of the seat. you will be able to see it once the back of the seats are removed. To remove the Side Pannels.... There are a total of 3 screws and 3 10mm bolts holding these on. You should start by removing the bolts. they are in the hatch Holding the little plastic tray things on. Then the 3 screws. 1 is near the back bottom part of the pannel, the 2nd is right under the slot where the seat rod goes in. the 3rd is in a "hole" at the bottom (beside where the seat bench was) thats how the pannels are removed. The Rear Pillar Pannels..... These arnt that dificult but be carefull because they are held in with clips.. and trust me you dont wanna brake those clips. Headliner...... Near the back of the hatch on the roof (closest to either side of the windows) there are multiple little plastic screws. Remove all those and then pop the roof liner down. There also MIGHT be some sort of clips holding it up. I never took mine off so i dont know exactly.. Hope this Helps. Let us know how it go's. |
