97 Several Problems Oil leak Knocking engine wipers

I have a 1997 caravan. I bought it two years ago. The engine has always knocked in it. The previous owners said they had it checked and it was a loud tappit. It is leaking oil and always has but not enough to add any between oil changes. It runs great and the check engine light is not on. Does anyone else have a loud engine? What caused yours?

The wipers have a mind of their own. When I turn on the turn signal the wipers often go on.

If you have 3.0 motor it a common symptom when they get older , generally won't hurt , usually it goes away a few minutes of running . The wiper problem you sually have to replace the wiper stalk switch , well known problem on that era van.
