Angry 94 Sedan Deville Heater Core

I have the 1/2 heat symptoms. Cold feet :-( Would I be able to swich the 2 hoses so it flows the oppisite way through the heater core. My gut tells me this wouldnt be a good Idea but I thought I would get some input, is it that hard to replace. What do you remove to replace it. Thanx

Re: 94 Sedan Deville Heater Core

it is not that had to replace. you have to remove the glove box and then unbold the heater core housing cover, then 2 screws to remove the heater core. i had the problem of no heat with mine. and replaced the heater core, and fixed the problem.
if you have a manual for your deville, look at it first. it helped me out when i did mine. it was not that hard at all.

Re: 94 Sedan Deville Heater Core

Unless the core has a leak, I'd try reverse flushing it with a garden hose first.
FWIW
YMMV

lets see, i posted a problem like this last year, same problem, adn many others had it also.
the heater core is cheap enough and easy to replace.
so you know, it is made with aluminum core and plastic tanks.
doesn't matter if it leaks or not, for some reason when you lose heat, and you have enough coolant, it is the heater core.
the cores are very small.
