Hi James,

The P1 is a UK car. It was produced ONLY for the UK market.

For more information have a look here: http://www.subaru.co.uk

Basically, Subaru UK took 1000 STI Type R version 5 and got Prodrive to modified them.

The ECU was replaced to cope with UK grades of fuel, rather than the higher specification in Japan.

17" Anthracite OZ wheels, replace the standard gold 16" wheels. There is a dealer option for 17" gold wheels, or 18" anthracite or gold wheels. Tyres are Pirelli PZero's.

The car is only available in Sonic Blue (Sometimes referred to as Rally Blue)

The P1 is only available in a 2 door coupe format, and the tinted rear windscreen, and tinted rear side windows are replaced with clear items.

The dampers and springs were changed to make the ride less harsh, as in the UK we don't have the silkly smooth roads that Japan do.

The rear/boot/trunk spoiler uses the lower half of the STI 5 spoiler, but the top part was comissioned by Prodrive, it has P1 embossed in the side, and there is a carbon fibre lip on it. It is not adjustable.

The front lip spoiler/splitter was again comissioned by Prodrive, and is not available in the UK other than to P1 owners!

There are some 90mm driving lamps (rather than fog lamps) in the front bumper. They are made by Hella, and there is a dealer option to upgrade them to HID lamps.

The interior is similar to an STI one. The seats and door panels are retrimmed in blue cloth, with grey cloth and alcantra. The seats are embrioded with the Prodrive logo. There is an option to upgrade to a Recaro interior.

The backbox/tailpipe is just a standard STI item, although again there is a dealer option to upgrade it for an item with P1 embossed on the side.

There is no stereo as standard!!!

Also the brakes are the standard 4-pots, but again there a dealer option to upgrade to Prodrive badged Alcon 4-pots with 330mm disks/rotors. Pads supplied are the Ferodo DS2000.

I think that about covers it!!

Hope this helps
Andy

Exactly the same! Paint code 74F!

The P1 and the 22B have the same paint code, but some owners have mentioned they are not the same colour! I think the curve of the wing bulges of the 22B replfects light differently and causes the confusion!

If you'd like more information on the P1 or UK cars, there is a board: http://www.scoobynet.co.uk , where I have about 2,500 posts!!!

Hope this helps
Andy
