Is the d16y7 vtec or non-vtec? What year of car(s) did it come out of and what are some of the specs on it? Thanks

non-vtec, came in '96-'00 CX, LX, and DX models; 106hp and 103tq.

Does anyone have an idea of what it would take to get that in a 89 CRX dx automatic? I've tried googling, but I can't seem to find anything.
