Predetonation problems on my 88... HELP!!

ok I have an 1992 Eighty-eight royale, and i heard a distinct THUD in the engine... I've checked the plugs, but nothing. I have been haveing a lean exhaust, but i don't see how that would cause predestination.... i just don't know what to do!

lean engines run hot, and hot engines could cause predetonation. Have a diagnostic done on your engine to see where your lean condition is originating from.
