front to rear conversion

is there a way to convert the eclipse from front wheel drive to rear wheel drive?

There is no RWD eclipse, they are either FWD or AWD. The AWD conversion is possible, but to make it RWD it would have to be custom.

Theres a how to on AWD conversion. I would like to know what tranny people use on thier RWD drag cars. But yeah, converting to RWD would be a bitch, you'd need to find this tranny thats probably not too common, and turn the engine 90 degrees.

couldnt you pull the front half shafts and put block the seals holes, and wouldnt you have rwd?

On the contrary, there is a RWD drag eclipse. I think the article was in the latest Modified Mag. But he's running a 7 something. If you aren't running that then I wouldn't see any point really. And yes, it would be a bitch to convert to that.
