battery life of 2003 accord?

Obviously I have no car knowledge. I have a 2003 accord, and it sounds kinda ill when I start it lately. Its been awfully cold lately and it takes it a few tries to start up in the mornings, but it even sounds like its having trouble getting started when its NOT so cold. A friend says he thinks maybe the battery is getting worn out, but shouldn't a battery last more than 2 yrs?

Re: battery life of 2003 accord?

Depends where you are (climate), how much the car has been used, etc. etc. 2 years is the low end, but it's possible.

Anyway a 2003 Accord could be THREE years old, not 2 - the model year starts in late summer.

However, in my experience, modern batteries don't go out gradually. One minute they're fine, the next they're dead.

usually 4-5 years if its an oem Honda battery. Considering you didn't abuse it and constantly kill the battery.
