Gas Milage Question

What kind of milage do you guys get ? I have a 95 Blazer LT 4door 4x4... i get about 250 -260 miles on a full tank, which translates into around 16 - 17 mpg.... What do you guys get?

Yeah, that is about what i am getting with mine. I am hoping to get a little better mileage once i get the new CPI unit installed... HOPEFULLY at least 2-3 more MPG. My biggest problem is that i can fill the beast to half a tank with only 10 dollars in fuel (roughly 5 gallons) then its another 20 gallons to get to full??? WTF?

Re: Gas Milage Question

its because when you tank says empty there is still like 4 gallons in there plus your 5 you put in so thats 9 to a half tank and another 10 to fill it at 2 a gallon thats 20 bucks.... 19 gallons for the 4dr and 20 for the 2dr

Re: Gas Milage Question

16-17 is typical in town MPG for these units. I have a 93 and a 95, both with the Vortec and that is what they get in town. They'll push 20-21 on the highway.

Figured I'd better add that mine are 4WD, 2WD should get subtantially better MPG.

I'm getting about 225 to a tank, but i have a 2dr that has a 18gal tank. Also i have 31 x 10.5 x 15 tires so they hog a little more gas as well.

My 93 S-10 Blazer gets right at 20mpg avg in summer, 16-17 in winter. I can go 300-325 between fill-ups.

Re: Gas Milage Question

I am getting about 300 miles to a full tank. I was getting 320 before I blew my engine, now I need to figure out how I got an engine with less miles than the one I blew and am getting less gas mileage. This was before I got the bigger tires and all.

Quick Question, the 4 door 2wd Blazer (2000 model) had how big of a tank?

Nope, wrong on that one. (at least on my Blazer) when that little needle is pointing at the second orange bar (that means empty) she shuts off! There is no reserve or anything, once that gauge says empty you better be at a gas station or you will be walking, soon..

I took my blazer to Ohio on a road trip once (about 450 miles) and i noticed that i could go 280 miles on the first half of tank and only 75 on the bottom half.... i wish i could re-calibrate that dam gauge.
