new h22a got a desperate question please help.

so i bought an h22a jspec from i guy i work with but he dosent know what year the engine is and i need to know if there is anyway that i can find out please help thanx.

I don't think you can tell the exact year, though you can distinguish from engine groups.

how am i to know if it is obd1 or obd2?

check on the engine block. There will be a tab right under the coolant hose that will say H22a1, h22a4, etc.....what does yours say?
