LS type S swap
I am asking cause I don’t know any better. I just got a 01 LS with 100Km. I was thinking about swapping the motor with something more powerful. I was wondering if it would it be possible to swap the ls engine with rsx type s. If possible would it be more cost efficient to swap the ls for a type r or gsr.

Re: LS type S swap
The K20 is a HARD swap. it's cool but a LS/VTEC or just a GSR would be much cheaper

Re: LS type S swap
most cost efficient is the GSR in my opinion because it can be turned into an all motor car or boosted...

go LS/VTEC turbo. The LS block is usually the choice for turbo and the vtec head would give you more motor power.

The k20 motor is really expensive, and the h22 is just a bit under half of that. How do the motors compare? or i should say how do they compare in an integra.

since your LS block is new with low miles, keep it and bolt on a GSR head and run a couple new wires and you'll have vtec, I guarantee you that after you do that and add a couple more little mods you will be impressed.

Thanx for the input. I've been glued to www.k20a.org it has a lot of good info on all kinds of k series swaps. i don't know what to do in the end, but thinking about it is making me lose a lot of sleep. I think i am just going to work with the LS motor while saving for the k20 swap. I’m at 107 km now and thinking about grabbing some cam gears when i do my timing belt & water pump, which ones would you guys recommend?
My buddy’s website where he posts all kinds of stupid shit. There’s a vid of me and my buddy (2001 Audi a4 1.8t sport package) racing. This was before he chipped it. You wouldn’t believe what that chip does for him. I don’t have a vid but if I did, I would be embarrassed to show you guys. It’s crazy how he pumps me now. http://www.ruggednorth.com/mms/ |
