Removing Alternator in 95 3.3 ?
I'm Stuck. I have a 95 Caravan with the 3.3 V6, and the alternator died. I Have a Haynes manual that says to remove it from the bottom, and I have gotten it loose and disconnected but can't get it past the exhaust/firewall area. I thought about disconnecting the exhaust line at the manifold, but there seems to be a gasket there that I would have to replace and the bolts are rather rusted. Is there a trick to removing it?
Thanks, James Land Fortunately this is not my only vehicle and I can let it sit for a day or so. |

Try this here: http://autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker...3d8010c2d3.jsp
Alternator Chrysler Caravan/Voyager/Town n Country 1984-1995 Scroll down till you get to the: Removal and Installation Procedures Then look for the: 3.3L and 3.8L Engines section |

Re: Removing Alternator in 95 3.3 ?
i always remove them from the top but you must remove the bracket that covers the top of the alt. If you choose to go from the bottom it will come out if you remove the exhaust from the manifold but you may have to replace the flange gasket and nuts bolts and springs if they are rough
