SO i got a new intake manifold

OKay, well

I have a 95 civic dx

And i got a new intake manifold for it....the new one is a d16y8

Was just wondering if you think I will need a new gasket

The guy who sold it to me said just to use the old one, but ive heard from a couple other people that i would definitely need a new one

Any input?

thanks

its an intake mani.......you don't need to use a gasket if you don't want to....its not like its under pressure....i know i'm exaggerating, but seriously just use the old one if it looks alright

Re: SO i got a new intake manifold

the gasket is not metal. it is composite. unless your running reusable gaskets such as hondata gaskets or knockoffs, it HAS to be replaced. $12 aint going to kill you. it beats having to rerip the mani back off when you find out you have a vac leak it might even save you some typing time when you come back in here and put up a new thread asking why your idle keeps jumping up and down
