Reset VIN - Hypertech Programmer

Hey, I recently purchased a used Hypertech Programmer and to my dismay discovered that the previous owner didn't reset it to stock. Since the unit is VIN specific it won't work. Hypertech wasn't much help, they just told me I'd have to buy a new one. :-(

I have heard that there are some mechanics out there who know how to reset Hypertech Programmers. Does anyone know the "secret" reset sequence? Thanks!

Re: Reset VIN - Hypertech Programmer

Did you try contacting Hypertech and explaining the situation to them or contacting the previous owner (was this an eBay thing?) and get him to reset or refund???? Good Luck!!!
