safc2/boost question
Hey guys, my next mod is going to be a manual boost controller. My question is that with the safc2, is there a way to have like 2 different tuned setups? Like one for low boost and one for high boost, and be able to switch back and forth on the safc2? The reason behind this is so that I can get both boost settings dyno tuned, so I have good performance at the different levels so I don't have to make a trip to the dyno every time I want to raise/lower boost.
Thanks

Re: safc2/boost question
I have a SAFC and there is no way to set two seperate tuning setups. Unless the version 2 is different... Why would you have to go to the dyno each time you adjust your boost? Don't you just tune it by using your SAFC and a EGT guage or a wideband?

Re: safc2/boost question
I don't have an SAFC, but I've heard about what people do in your situation. I believe there's a "low throttle" and "high throttle" tune or something like that. I know the SAFC2's can have two separate tunes. They just use the "mid-throttle" or something like that for lost boost and the "high" throttle for high boost. This is all if i remember correctly. Or DSMLink could hae a different tune for every psi

There, they say it has two memory modes. Which SAFC are you using? If for whatever reasno you can't utilize this, then just tune for the higher boost level. Rich > Lean

Re: safc2/boost question
I wouldnt bother changing AFR for two different boost levels, but I would change timing. So the AFC doesn't really help much here, except that in richening up the mixture you also lower timing
