filling gas tank 2000 venture
does anyone have any suggestions on what might be the problem with my 2000 venture. when I fill it with fuel I can pump in 2 or 3 gallons and then it stops venting properly and I can only put gas in at a trickle. It is a real pain especially when it is 10 degrees outside and the windchill will frost parts of my body that would prefer being warmer

Re: filling gas tank 2000 venture
Welcome to owning a Venture! My Montana does that every now and then. It has to do with how the back pressure trips the latch at certain gas stations.
Three things that you can do: 1. Go to a different gas station 2. Live in Oregon where they still have full service gas stations. 3. Pull the nozzle out about 1/3 of the way. There is still plenty of nozzle left inside the filler next, but enough pressure is released so that the latch doesn't trip constantly. Keep an eye on it though that you don't overfill your tank as you are somewhat circumventing the mechanism.
