Fenderwell intake VS cold air intake
I just bought a new neon (2000 ES 5 speed) my old 1996 neon had a short ram so I didnt had to worry about water getting into it when it rained or snow. I noticed that for the 2000 neons because of the location they dont really make real short rams. Then i saw a fenderwell one on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DODGE...QQcmdZViewItem) Has anyone ever used these? I had a bad experience installing once of these in a 1999 mustang, it wouldnt exacly fit. Has anyone had any experience with these? How does it compare to a reg cold air intake like this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-04...QQcmdZViewItem) MY main concern is that when i hit a deep puddle water doesnt get into my system

Short Ram Intake's are usually prettier stock intakes. They don't add much if any HP. Go with a cold air intake, like the AEM one pictured below. Puddles should not bother you unless you keep the filter submerged in water.
