I hate to break it to you, but our cars arent american muscle, or Honda civics. We dont really have a great deal of motor choices. BUT, the stock I4 motor is an awsome motor to boost. Do you have the V6 or I4? If you have the 6 dont get down, there is still plenty of things you can do to it to make it a monster...it will just cost a little more than what it would for the I4 motor. Check around the forum for tips on turbo'ing. Check the top stickied thing by Elchicoloco, hes got a lot of great tips in there. If you have the V6, the most $$ part of getting power is probably a new bottom end with a lower compression. You can find stock boost numbers our engines will handle in a number of posts in this forum. Its like 12 for the V6 and 17 for the I4 (with injectors). Good Luck.

Re: engine swaping

i'm confused, i'll write up a bit for the thread at the top though, just so this question is answered to the fullest though...

engine swaps readily avail.-- think i heard EVO8 motor, which is the new version of the 4g63, the old 1g and 2g eclipse version is not compatible

other than that--- any engine is capable of working w/ enough fabrication and money, i could drop in a rb26tt tomorrow if i had upwards of 15k $ for the parts and another 5-12 for the install.... does not mean its feasible, the only swap avail. i put above...

other than htat keep the motor you have and put your regulator back on,.... i imagine your regulator is there to regulate your engine, but i've never heard of it, can you clarify?

If you are talking about a governor.....there is none to take off. One of the great beauties of the 3G is that there is no engine regulator (governor). So....my bet is that you took something off that isnt good...probably infact a bad thing you took it off....put it back on...NOW, and strap a huge 70mm turbo on that mother.

puting in the evo8 motor is a waste of money i just swap the heaed its cheeper in the long run and you also will end up keeping it a 2.4ltr insted of making it a 2.0

Re: engine swaping

^^ yeah, i said the evo 8 swap is readily available... i didn't say it was a GREAT swap... every swap costs a considerable amount of money
