My 86' Buick LeSabre will not start. It will crank over and has spark. I believe its getting enough gas as the plug was wet that I pulled. I replaced the crank shaft position sensor with no luck. Checked the trouble codes on the ECM, showed no problems. Any ideas. as to where to go next? Thank you,

Check compression to start with.

Re: 1986 Buick LeSabre
Then check the fuel pressure at the rail. Should be 35-45 psi range.

Re: 1986 Buick LeSabre
My '87 with at least 220k (electrical problems cause odo to go out with headlights on, so probably more) had a broken timing gear - it's made of plastic. Would crank and crank, spark and fuel were good, but wouldn't start.
Don't know an easy way to check this, since someone else checked it out for us. But if you take off your oil pan and there are pieces of plastic in that mesh filter thing, then that's pieces of your timing gear
