let's try this again

I've got a v6 4.3l Vortek with a 4L60E Transmission.
it's a 95 Blazer 4x4.

I've got codes to what I was experiencing with
a slip from 4 to 5. I'm getting a full tune-up,
a new EGR gasket, and new sensors.
Let me know if you guys think there's
anything I should be doing.

Fluid red/brown
TCC cycles in & out
leaks out the front
codes:bnk 1 sens 1.P0141-02 heater
CKT bnk 1 sens 2. p0300-random misfire detected
p0441-evap sys incorrect/no purge flow
p1406-egr pintle ckt prob

if this doesn't reek of newbie, I don't know what is.
I've been reading this forum for days.
You all seem really on top of things, and I need
you to be. I love my blazer, and I don't want to part with it.

Re: let's try this again

Welcome to AF there matt rock. Just in case you haven't been welcomed already.

The full tune up is pretty self explanitory, as long as you know what the parts are.

And if that's a transmission problem that your talking about better let the pro's look at it.... Sorry, but that's how I feel and what I practice.

If they feel that it just needs the fluid and filter changed it won't be all that bad. They might be able to change that seal with it in the Blazer (If it's a 2 peice)

I think that your better off to get your Blazer fixxed right, and keep it.
It should be a good vehicle for years to come.

thanks alot OBP. I got the tune up done. I can feel the cycling
still. Gotta be the TCC. Anybody know the precedure for
fixing it? I got a leak. I'm sure of that one. But
the best Trans people in Toledo--Weber transmission said
they would have to take it out to see if there's damage.
$300 I don't have if I have to come up with it to
put into the cost of replacing it.
