Is Grand Turismo better than Forza?

im sort of surprised the riced out games are tops and not very many simulation ones, well if you ask me of course i'll say live for speed or gtr, forza in my opinion is better then gt4, but its still a very arcade styled game, the best part about gt4 would be the wheel though, the best for forza would be online play.

Toca 2 for PS2, that game rocks. Has everything from rally to semi racing. Plus it's a sim not arcade crap. My favorite of all time is NASCAR 2003 for PC, that's the hardest racing game I've ever played and it's the same one the real drivers still use for practice. If a racing game is made by EA you know it sucks, I own a few NFS and all the NASCAR games up to '05 and every single one is simple & no fun.

I think Forza is the best but I've never played LFS...PGR3 is a good game but no where near as good as Forza.

forza is one of the best, LFS is more of a simulation (ie, lot harder to control a car = more realistic.. physics are by far the best in a video game.. once they fix the tire grip issue.

Screw all those high budget games. Tokyo Xtreme Racer:Zero pwns. The new Tokyo Extreme Racer Drift looks promising. Plus, its like $17.00 brand new.

most of those games arent really high budget, i mean with how old forza is, i got it for 15$ brand new, gt4 is pretty old now too you could probably get it for 20, and lfs has a free demo that has people that play the free demo for years, plus buying it is about 20$ also, and you have the lack of those bodykits and the colors that burn your eyes.

i have a question and a faint hope that i won't get non-informative fan-boy answers but don't want to open another thread and take up uneccessary space.

for all of those who have played/owned both Gran Turismo 4 and Forza, what do you think about both games?
I'm asking because people keep telling me that forza is just as good if not better than GT4 but I have never seen it in action and don't really have the time to actually go to a games store and ask for a demo and seeing as how many of you here would've played both, i figure i might as well ask you lot.

how do they compare?
tracks, 'feel', control/responsiveness etc etc.
(for those who have both, is using a stock nsx on the 'ring in GT4 anything like doing the same in forza?)
i mean, i love GT4 because it actually takes some effort to win a 'fair' race but is it really worth me buying an xbox just forza? Also, part of the appeal of forza, not having played it, is the ferrari/porsche and lamborghini in the game which in itself isn't really reason enough if the game isn't up to par.

Yes, I own GT4 and Froza, i like Froza better because of the body kits. GT4 money value seems to be like what a shop would cost to install your parts while the money value in froza is like what it would cost to install it your self. Car's prices are about the same. GT4 has way more cars than froza. Driving wise, froza seems more responsive. you also drift more. GT4 it was like turning was way to hard at top speeds. in froza, turning is hard, but if you try to hard you drift more...kinda like NFSU2 drift races. also i like froza's realistic damage, it makes it harder, but more of a chalenge. if you hit a wall at 185 mph in GT4... you stop...in Froza... you break your windows, smash your hood/bumper and it makes it hell to drive. you also have to pay for the damage out of your winnings. I would recomend froza for people who like racing, and GT4 for people who like collecting a lot of sweet cars.

ah! your first sentence just killed all credit for anything, but about the rest, the damage wasn't that realistic in forza, i mean hitting a wall at 35 would destroy your car completly and your able to do it at well over a hundred and still win the race, out of the 2 games though forza would be my pick its more fun, gt4 has this sort of uptight feeling that when you get something wrong it just sucks or something like that, i dunno how to explain it but forza is just more fun.
