2000 Gmc Loves Tow Trucks
First the engine light would be on, then off and was told the O2 sensor was bad, a week later I'm being towed home because it wouldn't make it up the hill, it just kept stalling when I gave it the gas and wouldn't restart - The next day ran it fine. A few days later off to the store I go and guess what, I give it the gas and it dies, did not start for 3 hours, yet again got towed home. Thank God for AAA!
Could this all be an O2 sensor? Fuel Pump or fuel filter? Converter gone bad? It seem like something stops working when it gets hot. When it does start, it will idle fine, plenty of power etc. But once it stalls forget it. It's done for a few hours. Anyone been through this? |

I know that these pickups have problems with the fuel presure regulator. If the regulator is sticking open then all of your fuel is being dumped back in to the fuel tank. Would only be enough to keep it running. Hope this helps.
