i need to vent
just got back from japan vs usa event a irwindale and i have got to say it was the worst drift comp ive ever been too...god its depressing...
a lot of the good d1 drivers werent even there, the ones that were noticably absent was taniguchi, ueo, terisaki etc... the judging was really off...it almost even seemed rigged...kazama did horribly inconsistent which is totally unlike what he has done at every other event...man it was a fucking mess...and a mustang won i wish drifting had never come to the usa and got so fucking commercilized, the us media is all over it, ricers everywhere...it's lost most of its soul...fuck the us media fuck them...mabye ill add some more rants later...if you were there you probably know what im talking bout, if you dont and you were there, never mind and just ignore this...anyone who does have similar feelings on this, give me some input or feedback or something... dont take any of this shit personally i just needed to vent...

Yeah, it was really ruined, the fact that a car with solid rear axel won a drifting competition is just wrong.

its not just that, dont you think the judging was kind of funny, there were 1 more times where they werent necessary, just out of popularity of a particular drifter etc...

I nearly hitched a ride in 8 dude gay sex minivan out to Cali to watch so I geuss I'm glad I passed. Honestly, in my opionion, the only two Formula drivers worth a damn are Rhys Millen and Chris Foresberg.

the media is whats wrong with it all
when I bought my car I was worried that the media will turn it into the next civic and the problem with the media sodomizing drifting is now its mainstream every punk with a car thinks they are the drift king or something but i'm in a ok mood cuz its snowin over here and I finally got the chance to slide my car around withought messin up my new tires.

He means that drifting is not some grip racing and thats nothing is wrong with solid rear end. It's not some racing competition.
But I agree with the whole drifint in the US thing. I went to the last Formula D here in Atl, and the parking lot was Filled with ricers. All these civics, eclipses, riced out 240s, I was just gaging walking through the parking lots. I am not saying there were no nice cars but still it sucked. I liked 240s before the difting scene came in, like for the RWD and the nice handling. But then all this drifting shit invaded, it just sucks.

Ohh and I want to KILL who ever started all these drifting show on TV, every show that mentions imports also mentions drifting. I just have to change the chennal right away.

i went to a Falken drift showoff in Berkeley, it wasnt that bad but a lot of hondas...a lot of stock looking hondas. like 3 or 4 SR 240's. the cars actually drifting though were very cool except for this one kid in a 2000 - something Firebird like 10 in. off the ground. that was the worst.
